KDDI signs IoT Accelerator connectivity management agreement with Aeris

KDDI

Aeris, a global leader in IoT connectivity and security solutions, announced that it has entered into an IoT connectivity management services agreement with KDDI Corporation. KDDI has been using the current Aeris IoT Accelerator platform since 2017, which was originally offered by Ericsson and acquired by Aeris in early 2023. This agreement demonstrates continued demand for Aeris’ IoT Accelerator platform, which manages 104 million IoT devices and 42 million connected cars worldwide.

Since its acquisition, Aeris has made significant investments in globally strengthening its platform, including performance improvements, system modernization and migration to the cloud, and expanded collaborations with international connectivity providers. As a result, enterprise customers can now deploy connected solutions with a single SKU in any country and reduce the complexity of billing processes.

Sean Gowran, Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific at Aeris, stated:

“We are delighted to support KDDI‘s migration to the Aeris IoT Accelerator platform. As a Tier-1 infrastructure, the Aeris IoT Accelerator platform supports the connectivity requirements of global enterprise customers. Our integrated global platform enables simple, secure, large-scale IoT deployments, helping multinational enterprise customers, including automotive OEMs, drive innovation and scaling without complexity, even during periods of significant market growth. We will also continue to provide even more advanced connectivity services through our IoT partner ecosystem and the innovation of our agentic AI platform.”
