Apple to Delay Introduction of AI-powered Functionalities in Europe

According to a report by Reuters, Apple will delay the introduction of three new artificial intelligence functionalities because landmark European Union tech rules mandate it to ensure that competitor products and services can function with its devices.

The tech company revealed its AI-driven new functionalities and software improvements for its iPhone and other devices to bolster sagging sales.  SharePlay Screen Sharing enhancements, Phone Mirroring, and Apple Intelligence are three features that will not be available for users in the European Union this year. The regulatory uncertainties due to EU’s Digital Markets Act are the main reason behind the delay.
