CrowdStrike Introduces Continuous Identity for AI Agents to Secure the Agentic Enterprise

CrowdStrike

CrowdStrike has announced Continuous Identity for AI Agents, a new capability within its Falcon® Next-Gen Identity Security portfolio designed to address the growing security challenges posed by autonomous AI agents. As organizations increasingly deploy AI agents that operate with high levels of speed, autonomy, and privileged access, traditional identity security models based on static policies and one-time authorization are becoming inadequate. CrowdStrike’s new approach continuously evaluates and authorizes every AI agent action in real time based on factors such as agent ownership, the identity of the requester, and the security posture of associated devices, leveraging both native and third-party risk signals within the Falcon platform “AI agents are transforming how work gets done, and how identities must be secured,” said Elia Zaitsev, chief technology officer, CrowdStrike.

“Point-in-time authorization becomes a legacy approach the second agents are given autonomy. Authorize once and trust indefinitely is not a security model; it’s a liability. That’s the shift CrowdStrike is driving, from static, one-time access decisions to Continuous Identity.” Powered by technology acquired through SGNL, the solution introduces cryptographically verifiable agent identities based on the SPIFFE standard, context-aware authorization, and a zero-standing-privilege model that grants and revokes access dynamically. Integrated with Falcon® AI Detection and Response (AIDR), it also monitors prompts and agent behavior for misuse, enabling rapid access revocation to prevent unauthorized actions. The launch strengthens CrowdStrike’s vision of a unified identity security control plane that protects human, non-human, and AI identities across cloud, SaaS, browser, and on-premises environments.
