FPT Corporation and Microsoft Expand Alliance to Accelerate Enterprise AI Frontier Scaling Across Asia

FPT Corporation

FPT Corporation has announced an expanded strategic collaboration with Microsoft. The collaboration will be geared towards facilitating the use of enterprise artificial intelligence and co-innovation in selected Asian regions, especially the ASEAN region, Japan, and South Korea. The purpose of the collaboration is to leverage the power of Microsoft’s worldwide AI platforms together with FPT’s delivery capabilities and expertise in the regions to help businesses move from experimenting with AI to real-world implementation.

This collaboration is in line with the company’s “AI-First” strategy and Microsoft’s vision of advanced human-agent collaboration. This collaboration will enable businesses to streamline their work processes across engineering, back-office, and business core processes.

Establishing FPT as an AI Frontier Company

Under this agreement, FPT will collaborate closely with Microsoft as an AI Frontier Company-a modern organizational framework defined as being human-led and agent-operated. This model seamlessly embeds AI agents into daily operations and core corporate workflows. The two entities will explore early adoption of Microsoft’s next-generation AI systems and engage in joint co-innovation focused on generative and agentic AI. This framework encompasses early-stage roadmap alignment, experimentation with emerging AI technologies, and the creation of reference architectures and industry-specific showcases optimized for enterprise-scale deployment.

Supported by a global workforce of 30,000 AI-augmented engineers, FPT continues to prioritize Microsoft platforms for its internal digital evolution, specifically utilizing Microsoft 365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot. As part of this internal roadmap, the corporation plans to equip up to 20,000 developers with agentic development capabilities over the next three years. This initiative is designed to build a highly skilled, AI-augmented workforce and advance modern software engineering practices, ultimately accelerating AI adoption for FPT’s global clientele.

This elevated partnership also serves as a foundational pathway for long-term strategic engagement looking toward 2030. FPT aims to function as a live reference model and an early adopter of Microsoft’s AI platforms, demonstrating how large enterprises can move past basic productivity gains to fundamentally re-engineer workflows around human-AI collaboration.

“As enterprises move from AI experimentation to enterprise‑wide adoption, the challenge is no longer technology alone – it is scale, resilience, and execution,” said Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation. “Through our deepened collaboration with Microsoft, FPT is enabling global enterprises to accelerate AI transformation across different stages of maturity – from early exploration to AI-enabled workforce productivity and upskilling, to the integration of AI into core processes and fully AI‑native operations – strengthening cybersecurity readiness, accelerating cloud and recovery architectures, and improving cost efficiency through productivity‑led digital and AI transformation. We are committed to enabling clients to move faster, operate more intelligently, and scale AI capabilities wherever their business operates.”

Driving Regional Market Impact and National AI Initiatives

The collaboration establishes a structured “Pathfinder” methodology to deepen joint commercial engagement across priority Asian geographies. This framework introduces executive sponsorship, unified governance models, targeted investments, and coordinated regional market initiatives. The combined approach is engineered to help businesses deploy AI in a practical, repeatable, and scalable manner while rolling out joint capability-building programs across leadership, sales, and delivery teams.

Moving forward, both organizations will focus on engineering robust AI adoption models that can be implemented across diverse industries. This structure supports enterprises as they transition from isolated, siloed pilot projects to comprehensive, company-wide AI transformations, backed by Microsoft’s technical expertise, formal enablement programs, and dedicated co-innovation resources.

Mayank Wadhwa, President of Microsoft ASEAN, said: “Vietnam is stepping into a pivotal phase of AI adoption, where organizations are ready to scale beyond pilots and redesign how work gets done. AI Frontier organizations, human‑led and agent‑operated, will define this next chapter. By combining Microsoft’s trusted global AI platforms with FPT’s large-scale capabilities and deep engineering strength, we are helping Vietnamese enterprises accelerate this transformation with safety, responsibility, and real impact.”
