Teradata Announces an Integration of Enterprise AI with Microsoft OneLake

Teradata has announced the integration of its Autonomous Knowledge Platform with Microsoft OneLake, enabling enterprises to run Teradata’s enterprise AI workloads directly against data stored in OneLake without ETL pipelines, duplication or migration. Built on Apache Iceberg standards, the integration allows customers to query OneLake tables in place through standard Iceberg APIs, while Microsoft Entra ID manages authentication and access controls. Organizations using Teradata and Microsoft Fabric can join and analyze data across environments without consolidating information or rebuilding governance, helping reduce pipeline maintenance, data latency, storage costs and governance gaps. The integration supports workloads including complex joins, AI feature pipelines and SLA-bound tactical queries while leaving source data in OneLake.
