CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, announced a major expansion of its Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) go-to-market strategy across Japan and the Asia Pacific (JAPAC) region. Through its distributor-led approach to aggregation, CrowdStrike not only provides SMBs with reduced costs of using high-end protection that leverages artificial intelligence but also transforms the buying process of their customers.
This initiative is based on strategic partnerships with industry-leading distributors Dicker Data and Otsuka Corporation. This new model gives distributors the opportunity to not only recruit and onboard but also to activate MSSPs at scale, providing them with a range of billing options and a simplified way to access the CrowdStrike Falcon platform.
Opening Up New Sources of Income for Our Partners
Our switch to a distributor-centric strategy is expected to drive our partners’ financial success. An independent study by Canalys shows that for each dollar earned in Falcon platform sales, partners could earn as much as seven dollars in services income. Through distributor marketplaces, we streamline purchasing, allowing MSSPs to swiftly deploy customized security solutions, thus fulfilling the rising local need for managed threat protection.

“Distributors and MSSPs are pivotal to scaling CrowdStrike’s reach across JAPAC and helping organizations modernize their security for the AI era,” said Jon Fox, vice president of channels and alliances, CrowdStrike Japan and Asia Pacific. “Budget constraints, complexity, and resource limitations continue to challenge businesses, with SMBs experiencing these challenges at greater scale. Together with our partners, we are expanding access to the AI-powered protection that enables organizations to stay focused on their core business.”
Empowering Regional SMBs
With the increase in complexity in cyberattacks, many SMEs, which do not have the same level of resources as larger corporations, are now turning to MSSPs for their protection needs. The expansion makes it possible for the service providers to offer “SOC-as-a-service,” among other managed services, which were not possible before.
“Cybersecurity continues to be a key growth driver for the ICT channel, with many SMBs needing access to additional capabilities to defend against modern threats,” said Vlad Mitnovetski, executive director and chief operating officer of Dicker Data. “Together with CrowdStrike, we’re enabling MSSPs to deliver AI-powered protection that helps businesses strengthen security and reduce complexity in an increasingly challenging threat landscape.”
“Otsuka Corporation welcomes CrowdStrike’s MSSP go-to-market expansion across the region to provide customers with security services that deliver real value,” said Yoshihiro Tokura, Managing Corporate Officer, Otsuka Corporation. “Through our partnership with CrowdStrike, we are enabling SMBs to seamlessly strengthen their security with our Rakuraku EDR Premier service, which combines the Falcon platform with SOC support services from our Tayoreru Security Operation Center. By delivering the AI-powered protection required to defend against today’s cyber threats, together we are helping SMBs focus on growing their businesses.”
By combining the power of the Falcon platform with local SOC expertise, CrowdStrike and its partners are creating a robust safety net for the JAPAC SMB community, ensuring that even the most resource-constrained organizations can defend against modern, AI-driven adversaries.
