Microsoft Deploys Voice and Vision Functionality to Consumer AI Assistant

Microsoft

Microsoft is reinventing its Copilot assistant with a major redesign that introduces voice and vision capabilities, making interactions feel more human. In an exclusive reveal, the updated Copilot will feature a virtual news presenter mode for reading headlines. Microsoft is personalizing the entire Copilot homepage depending on your conversation history, and over time, it will incorporate useful searches, suggestions, and suitable information.

The new Copilot Vision feature allows the assistant to interact with web content, answering questions about images or text. Privacy is a priority, with sessions being temporary and not storing personal data. Additionally, Copilot Daily will provide audio news summaries, partnering with trusted providers like Reuters and the Financial Times.
